The State of Qatar's Shura Council and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia signed Monday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Doha. HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud signed the MoU on the Qatari side, while President of the National Assembly Maja Gojkovic signed it on the Serbian side. The signing took place on the sidelines of the 7th Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption Conference.
The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the parliamentary field between the two sides. They also agreed to enhance communication between the two parliamentary institutions, in order to exchange expertise and experiences in the legislative, regulatory, and administrative fields.
The meeting also saw a review of bilateral parliamentary relations and the means to enhance them, in addition to discussing a number of issues that are on the conference's schedule.
