His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Palace in Ankara.
The meeting discussed the ways to strengthen the strategic co-operation between both countries to serve the common interests of the two countries and their people.
The two leaders discussed the international and regional developments, most importantly the situation in the Middle East, especially those related to Jerusalem and the latest developments in Syria.
The Emir attended a luncheon banquet hosted by President Erdogan.
His Highness the Emir was in Ankara for a working visit to Turkey. The Emir and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Esenboga International Airport by Turkish Minister of National Defence Nurettin Canikli, a number Turkish senior officials, Qatar's ambassador to Turkey Salem Mubarak al-Shafi and members of the Qatari embassy.
The Emir later left Ankara.
