Saudia Group is importing vegetables, fruits and other foodstuff from various countries by air and sea for the Saudia Hypermarket outlets and Qatar Shopping Complex in order to meet the demand for Eid al-Fitr, company chairman Mohamed Abdullah al-Athiya has said in a statement.
Iran, Turkey, Oman and Kuwait are among the countries from where such items are being imported, managing director N K Musthafa Abdu points out.
“Ensuring product availability and price stability are our core concerns for which we have started discussions with exporters to increase shipments and air cargoes”, CEO Salman Musthafa and director Faisal Musthafa add.
Saudia Hypermarket has branches on Umm Al Dhoom Street - Muaither, Qatar Shopping Complex - Markhiya, Commercial Street - Muaither, Al Rayyan, Salwa Road, Al Khor and at Asian Town.
