Navy divers and rescue workers on Monday halted their search for survivors following heavy rains on an Indian river where a tourist boat capsized.
Indian navy helicopters and emergency service boats came to the rescue of about 700 people stuck on a train caught in floods near Mumbai on Saturday.
Weather inshore tonight until 6am on Thursday will be some clouds, mild by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.
The Vientiane Times said about 19 people have been "found dead", more than 3,000 "require rescue" and about 2,851 have been saved.
The toll from the record rainfall has continued to rise, as rescue workers dig through the debris and find the remains of dozens of people reported missing.
