The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has opened a pavilion at Katara -The Cultural Village as part of its participation in the ongoing events during Qatar's hosting of FIFA Arab World Cup 2021.
The Kahramaa pavilion receives visitors and fans from all over the Arab world. “The design of the pavilion includes an Arab majlis along with a tent characterised by the local traditional style while representing the values of generosity and hospitality that the ancient Qatari Arab culture is famous for," a statement explained.
The pavilion helps children learn about electric vehicles and their charging stations while practicing sports using energy-saving devices that function without electricity. There are competitions and activities aimed at spreading the culture of rationalisation. The pavilion also features interactive games related to football.
Kahramaa president engineer Issa bin Hilal al-Kuwari praised the work by all departments and employees to support the efforts of Qatar to host the world championships. He said the resounding success achieved so far in hosting the Arab Cup is a new confirmation of the readiness of Qatar to host the World Cup.
He said Kahramaa technical teams had benefited from the hosting of the Arab Cup as they could test their plans, its effectiveness and efficiency in order to determine the readiness of the electrical infrastructure supporting stadiums and related sports facilities.
The pavilion is open until the conclusion of the championship activities on December 18 to also participate in the Qatar National Day celebrations.
