The Kuwaiti Cabinet decided in its meeting yesterday to close the country’s land and sea borders, with the exception of shipping operations and workers in the neutral zone, from tomorrow, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The Cabinet also decided to allow the return of citizens from land and sea borders, their first-degree relatives and their companions, which may include domestic workers, and assigned the Ministry of Interior and General Administration of Customs to implement the provisions of the decision, which shall be enforced from today until further notice, QNA said citing Kuwait News Agency. 
The Cabinet also prohibited attendance at all kinds of restaurants and cafes, malls, including those inside shopping centres, with the exception of external orders and delivery services that will continue to operate. It also decided that the number of workers in government workplaces must not exceed 30%, and each government agency shall determine the appropriate percentage for it in a way that does not exceed these limits in accordance with the requirements of the public interest and work conditions. 
The private sector must adhere to a 50% limit on the number of workers at the workplace.
Earlier yesterday, the Kuwaiti Health Ministry announced 899 new infections with the coronavirus, bringing the total number of infection cases to 184,989, in addition to five fatalities, which brought the total number of fatalities to 1,049.
