Qatar Chamber chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani has inaugurated three new factories that are subsidiaries of the National Paints Factories Company, situated in the country’s Small & Medium Enterprises Zone.
The three factories are National Paints Factories Company’s new branches for manufacturing industrial paints – the Royal Cans Factories Company and the Overseas Intermediate Chemicals Factory.
Held in adherence with Covid-19 precautionary measures, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Qatari Businessmen Association chairman HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani; Ministry of Commerce and Industry assistant undersecretary for Industry Affairs Mohamed Hassan al-Maliki, and National Paints Factories Company director general Saleh bin Ahmed al-Khulaifi, in addition to a number of officials, businessmen, and senior managers of consulting companies, contracting companies, and national factories.

He outlined the objectives of these factories and their role in developing the national industry and enhancing local products. The company has provided a variety of solutions, including decorative paints, industrial and protective coatings, and furniture and wood paints, among others, he also said.
Al-Khulaifi said National Paints Factories Company has obtained a series of ISO certificates, such as ISO 9001/2000 certification; ISO certification for the environmental management system ISO 14001/2004; ISO certification for security and safety 18001: 2008; ISO certificates for the quality management system 9001: 2015; the Environmental Management System 14001: 2015; and the Security and Safety System 45001: 2018.
