The Public Parks Department, in co-operation with Qatar Primary School for Girls, has held a tree-planting campaign at the school.
A number of Sedr trees and Indian Jasmine shrubs were planted alongside 300 seasonal flowering plants at the school gardens.
The event took place in the presence of some administrative staff of the school and a number of pupils. It was part of the efforts of the school to achieve and support sustainability and related environmental policies.
The sustainable development team at the school praised the Public Parks Department's experiments in using the waterboxx technology in planting trees, and hoped to adopt it to plant more Sedr trees and explain to the pupils how the system works.
