Defence minister meets Bosnian deputy PM

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah met yesterday with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Bisera Turkovic, who is currently visiting the country. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations, in addition to issues of common interest.


Qatar slams blast in Afghan province
Qatar has strongly condemned the explosion that targeted a police headquarters in Ghor province, central Afghanistan, and led to deaths and injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of motives and causes. The statement expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of victims and the government and people of Afghanistan, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery.

Qatar condemns killing of eight people in Iraq
Qatar voiced strong condemnation of the heinous crime which resulted in killing eight people in a shooting which also left four missing in Salah al-Din Governorate in northern Iraq. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm position on rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of motives and reasons. It expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims.
