PM visits Hamad Port, strategic food security facilities

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani paid an inspection visit to Hamad Port and the strategic food security facilities in Umm Al Houl Thursday. 
During the visit, the Prime Minister was briefed on the operating process, loading and unloading, insurance of import and re-exporting of goods at the port.
The Prime Minister also listened to explanations on operation techniques and the various maritime facilities of the port including the customs inspection area; vessel inspection facilities; transport mechanism; food security facilities; silos and facilities for storing, refining and packing rice, sugar and oils.


HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, accompanied by HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti and other dignitaries during his visit to the Port.



The Prime Minister also toured the port during which he was briefed on how the of loading stations, general cargo station, grain station and car station work and the mechanism of facilitating and developing the required support services for containers.
The Prime Minister was accompanied during the visit by HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie and HE the President of the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) Dr Saad bin Ahmed bin Ibrahim al-Mohannadi.
